Hat Tip: Onenewsnow

Dr. Bridget Melson practices in the San Francisco Bay area. She says after that fateful day in June, she received an email from a fellow therapist who invited all her colleagues to attend an ACLU function that would teach them how to oppose California’s Proposition 8 — the constitutional marriage amendment question set for the November ballot.

Melson responded with a mass return email to multiple users on the message board and networking blog saying that, as a Christian, she was “offended” by the email and felt it was “inappropriate.” And then, she says, the sparks started to fly. “Because of that email I got all kinds of hate mail,” Melson adds. “I was called a homophobe [and] intolerant.”

I hear the phobia bit. Tell them this.

I have no fear of these people. I simply recognize them as wrong. Just like you are wrong. There is a difference between right and wrong, like it or not.

There are a lot of good people who would rather not be called bigots, or have the race card used against them. They are going to have to get over it or their rights are going to be trampled by people who lack morals. If one person reads this posts and realizes this than the post was worth it. Dr. Bridget Melson is neither a “homophobe” or “intolerant” but a person who can look at the cause and effect relationship. Maybe the country would be better if we had people scream about no fault divorce, anybody could argue that just because it is normal for people to get divorce does not mean it harms your marriage or someday in the future the marriages of the children of today.

Just wanted to say how I appreciate all of the discussion this has created. It is a topic that needs to be talked about. Keep researching, thinking and fighting to protect what God says is right or wrong. These are His views and I am only following them. I am but a mouthpiece and a bond servant for Christ. God wrote the book and He set the standards. Thank you to all of you who believe this and find that His truth is worth the fight. I feel so encouraged and appreciate you all. You have no idea how important you are and what an impact you can have for God.
    Blessings!!
    Dr. B
