Hat Tip: Onenewsnow

Dr. Bridget Melson practices in the San Francisco Bay area. She says after that fateful day in June, she received an email from a fellow therapist who invited all her colleagues to attend an ACLU function that would teach them how to oppose California’s Proposition 8 — the constitutional marriage amendment question set for the November ballot.

Melson responded with a mass return email to multiple users on the message board and networking blog saying that, as a Christian, she was “offended” by the email and felt it was “inappropriate.” And then, she says, the sparks started to fly. “Because of that email I got all kinds of hate mail,” Melson adds. “I was called a homophobe [and] intolerant.”

Obama Says He’s On Senate Banking Committee: They’ve Never Heard of Him

Popularity: 62% [?]

He has without question been on the wrong side of many issues which are near to dear to those who he needs to support him.

Christianity Lived Out has a post that relates to Dobson positions on issues. McCain has not consistently held those positions, begging the question “Is Dobson a Flip Flopper.”

McCain suffers from what every member of Senate suffers - he has compromised to push his agenda. He has a history in the Senate. Can he make amends and get forgiven. Maybe not enough if he was up against a vetted Governor … But he is up against a follow Senator. And, a Senator that can not seems to stand firm on many issues if end the end any at all.

This year voters are going to need to practice the type of politics that goes on day after day in the US senate. Make a ballot choice between two choices in which neither truly represent their ideals.

Six Meat Buffet: Illegals… Stabbing The Unwed Mothers That Americans Won’t Stab

First, there are wails and a shuffling sound. Then the trembling voice of a 9-year-old Lancaster girl who had just watched her father kill her mother.

“Hello, my dad just stabbed my mom,” she tells the 911 operator, crying.

“He what?” the dispatcher asks.

“He just stabbed my mom,” she sobs into the receiver.

“With what?”

“A sword.”

The screams of her three siblings can be heard in the background. They all had just watched as Jesus Humberto Canales plunged the weapon into his girlfriend early Saturday morning in their two-bedroom apartment.

At one point, a child’s voice screams, “Daddy!”

Los Angeles County sheriff’s deputies on Monday released a recording of the gut-wrenching 911 call in a public appeal for help in finding Canales, 29.

After killing Lucy Preciado - the 26-year-old mother of three of his children who spent her days at home watching them - he jumped in his 2002 bronze GMC minivan and took off, authorities said.

Like I said in the last post, the problem is not the honor students.

As for the media, the only suspect is at large, Google news search it, no TV coverage.; A local station
KNBC covered the press release - Note only one microphone.

No they are not … although I saw a college honor student on TV instead of a labor camp. If that keeps happening I will be posting more on the subject of immigration.

No nobody was being deported, the student asked and received an extension.

I’ve never posted on college honor students; there is a reason. When the problems are solved I would be willing to discuss and consider in a reasonable way how to improve the immigration into the US. I won’t be willing to discuss how to improve a system that does not function with ideas that would be in the wrong direction. I am not going to suggest we are overrun with honor students … but we are still have 100,000s of fugitive criminals and have only exported 100s.

We need to do background checks of either everybody who goes to jail or if it is wrong, nobody who goes to jail. If when you are released you have an arrest warrant someplace else you should be extradited if you should be in another country you should be exported. Maybe when we are actually doing that we should consider allowing people in custody to file papers to remain without exportation … but since we don’t export people today we don’t need to consider it today because it is not a problem that exists.

Another idea on unfunded-ideas.com

The story of this idea starts back in the 1960s when Stephen heard at a lecture, in which the speaker stated, “Blue algae is one of the best solar collectors for energy he knew about.” A thought process started, independent research began, tests were conducted.

Seems the miracles substance that makes life on earth possible, chlorophyll, is really good at turning sun light into energy. Sun hits it and the molecule charges to about 1.4 volts. Another remarkable thing happens is that it selects water molecules, which for lack of the correct term, have heat energy and breaks down the water molecule into hydrogen and oxygen with greater than 100% efficiently (the extra energy was present in the water molecule). Making the system get cooler as it uses both sunlight and heat.

So in a garage one day Stephen set out to see what he could do with chlorophyll; juiced some spinach, blending, tumbling in rock polisher, using acetone to extract the chlorophyll. Then placing the juice in a centrifuge and using a dropper to remove the layer of chlorophyll.

I believe water was added to the separated layer and some heat was added to remove any acetone from the chlorophyll. If I recall correctly the substance glowed, it was a concern at that moment that the chlorophyll might be damaged; but it likely was just the normal action of the molecule to release the energy it collects if it is unused. The first test was done and produced electricity.

Refinements were made on how solar cells can be made, I am not certain how many different methods can be used to align the chlorophyll but I know that at least one works. The price of these, well if mass produced the way we paint automobiles they could be very cheap … the process to align them is not as easy as just painting them on but not as hard as say an ink jet printer … efficient, yes, so much so that Christians will say “see the glory of God’s creation.”

Wiley has a partial-published process using a electrodeposition …

Is it cheaper than “oil”? well if you remove the politics, government created and forced monopolies. Oil only costs a few dollars per barrel. Maybe deep sea oil the most expensive costs $20.00 for 50 gallons to produce. Refining it is a basic distillation process, then a more complicated process of heating it under pressure and releasing it to break down heavy products like diesel into lighter ones like gas. People who made moon shine during the prohibition could figure it out.

Free market gasoline, where normal investors are willing to compare 5% interest rates from a bank to 10% profits from a company … maybe photovoltaic cells using chlorophyll will not be that cheap. Anything over $0.50 for a gallon of gasoline and cheaper alternatives need to be looked at. In today’s energy market, Yes it is cheaper.

Marriage Protection Ordinance
Need to explain this one:

  1. Courts can not legislate: California law says marriage is between a man and a woman, the court rejected that law but the descending opinion is they law can only be repealed by a vote, hence an argument exists that the court order is unlawful.
  2. California law allows for counties to pass ordinances that do not disagree with the State Constitution.
  3. An ordinance defining marriage within a county as between a man and a woman would begin a legal showdown - could be big, it could even end court activism if it goes to the supreme court — could be the template of how to remove Roe vs Wade.

Great post loosely related to link above Paul Weyrich to Conservatives: “Stop advancing liberal lie that courts make law.”

Hat tip: Texas Fred Reverend Apologizes For Remarks Caught On Microphone During Fox Interview

It is unfortunate that Jesse Jackson values partisanship more than he values his opinion … as he has more or less repented for saying

“See, Barack been, um, talking down to black people on this faith based … I want cut his n–s off … Barack … he’s talking down to black people.”

“In this case, my error was responding to a question before a live mic. And so when he does hear them they will not be helpful; they will be hurtful. We have a relationship that can survive this,” Jesse Jackson now says.

Dust Devil power generator: If you have ever been in the desert you have seen a small dust devil these tornado like swirling wind vortexes are created because the ground heats up from the sun and warms the air. The warm air needs to rise but needs a point to rise at … consider a pin floating on water, it needs to sink but surface tension will hold it until a wave breaks the tension and it sinks. The condition on the surface of the earth when it gets warmed by the sun is to create a similar layer waiting for something to happen to allow the hot air to rise.

These vortexes are common although mostly small and unnoticed, when large ones happen on water they are called a Waterspout they happen on all surfaces.

Research has been done in Australia, Russia, currently in Canada they are working on the same type of technology but are calling it tornado power.

In the center of dust devils is considerable amount of power. But 20 feet away the wind level is fairly calm and mild going into the dust devil.

Research done on the first image taken from unfunded Ideas dot com indicates the main problem when getting power from these, and there is considerable power in them is that they tend to blow down wind.

The green graphic on the top right of the image is what holds the dust devil in place, (it remains downwind) it can also create the dust devil inside the device. The grey cup looking thing rotates with the air foil blades inside of it. The base and guides collect air from the land or surface area around the power station. The blue guides also direct wind into a vortex into the generator.

This type of power generation can be used to bring power to locations that can not easily have power off the main power grid - you would normally expect these to be operating at full power during the peak afternoon usage: meaning they help reduce power need from the grid at just the right time.

Free market solutions will work if they are allowed to.

Over at Patterico’s Pontifications they are trying to compile Obama’s Flip-Flops … they need all the help they can get. It is going to be a big list … I’ve noted a few changes (now Obama likes to say refinements) in what seems to be a sea of changes. I am still unsure of his position on Israel although I wont be voting for him to find out what it really is.
