   Our government need to focus on eliminating useless and out dated programs. The savings I am sure is substantial. I would like to see it returned but a liberal like Obama should at least be happy he has even more money to spend on his desires.

   … the only place that money could be thrown at energy to help is relief for people wanting to drill for oil and relief for people wanting to refine it; but they don’t need money they need government to let them! Oil costs $20 a barrel in many places to bump out of the ground, ($6.00 in some), but the government is not letting people drill. Refineries have not been build since the government 30 years ago place so many limitations on them that today nobody is building any - I don’t think you can blame the “I don’t want cheap gasoline in my state crowd.”

   If government would simply get out of the way, we could solve many of the problems that are holding us down. On my post “You May Be A Racist”, I pointed to the fact that government needs to encourage more and discourage less. Its primary job should be to clear barriers and increase the capacity of the private sector. Instead, our government is closing down businesses across America through regulation and taxation. Businesses are looking to survive and survival is often forcing them off our shores.
   Oil and gas is another example of how congress has strangled the life out of America. As long as we do nothing to take care of ourselves the price will continue to climb. Perhaps this is the most visible example of the liberal dependence mindset.
