Pollsters like to break down the poll results into groups; Men, Women, Hispanics, Christians, etc. The concept is that if you know how the different groups would vote you could look at the census or other population data to determine how that group may vote on a bigger scale.

Certain sites have very vertical demographics, take GodTube for example; from its content you can discern that its demographics is Christian. Well they have a non-partisan poll asking “Which candidate do you prefer?” Clinton, McCain, Obama, and Huckabee? 59.2% prefer Huckabee, 20% for Obama, 13% for McCain, and 7.8% for Clinton.

    perhaps the real goal of these devisive polls is to get those who identify with a given group to vote in a like manner. Stacking the deck in favor of those whose bias is only visible to the careful observer.
