Apart from weather the candidates are acting presidential or not some people are considering issues such as:

Immigration (it is nice when legal immigrates come to make a better life, but not so nice when undocumented people violate laws and never face justice)

Security (We live in a world that countries need to be able to defend themselves, or they become ruled by outside influences)

Taxes and the economy (US income tax and corporate tax are still not on a level playing field with other countries we import from such as China. Trade has been out of balance for so long seems like out of balance is normal).

Entitlements systems: Social Security, Medical coverage, Welfare … and how to repair what is broken with them (no money, cost increasing, lifetime poverty).

Last but not least The Courts (need to give the power to the people to elect people to make the laws, not dictate them as de facto kings. The baby boom generation was taught that this is our country, that we had a voice in government; and that our rights were protected by the bill of rights from government violation.)
