I personally don’t think stem cells are going to be the key to a cure for all timers. We no doubt will learn a lot from stem cells and it may cure some chronic conditions. But all timers seems to be cause by a missing protein, ya stem cells would the concept goes replace old brain cells when they die with new cells that may produce the protein (or may not) but brain cells live for something like 7 years so treatment with stem cells by these facts take 7 plus years. An alternative may be a virus that changes the DNA of the cells in a way such as AIDS virus does but instead of causing people to get sick it cures them.
