Framingham, MA — The Valley is ground zero in the immigration-reform battle

Hazelton, PA — The population in 2000 was 23,257, according to the U.S. Census, and projected to decline to 22,120 by 2005. But city officials estimate it is now 32,000, and as many as 30 percent of the residents are Latino

(hat tip) North Jersey — standoff at Ground Zero in lower Manhattan Wednesday.

MORRISTOWN, N.J. — About 500 people gathered here Saturday to rally for and against immigrants’ rights, in a town that earlier this year applied for entry into a federal program that would give its police officers authority to enforce immigration laws

Los Angeles — Ted Hayes Update Los Angeles ground zero

As the Federal Government fails to manage immigration — Arizona, Colorado States, Prince William County Counties and New Haven, St. Paul, Carlsbad Towns are pressured into taking action and are creating a patchwork of different immigration enforcement or non-enforcement zones. The issues are too big for the Federal Government to ignore and they are not going away. Immigration is an issue in a Democratic Federation that the people of the country should have a say in; The job of the people elected to serve is to represent the voters.

Water is warm, not as cold as it normally is, and this weekend has been very sunny. Life is short and as far as I know you do not get a second chance. Everything is far from perfect, but the experience is all good in the end.

It was a story about how he got the news. There was no real coverage of what was going on in other parts of the country from the state media. The coverage was what the state wanted you to know. The information for the most part was biased, or no information on certain types of issues at all.

AUTHORS NOTE ON BIAS: I am not sure that you can really get away from bias; perhaps it best to be as clear as possible with any bias. As a teenager I listened to shortwave radio. I was able to listen to the news stories from the VOA and the news stories from the country involved in the story. I heard headlines like: “Country A military jets converged on Country B ships” vs “Country B’s war ships strayed into Country A’s waters and were contacted by airplanes” describing the same event, and neither story contained a lie.

You could also try to cover both sides of a story but how many stories actual only have two sides?

Well without a media (broadcast or paper) that provided a complete story, what he and other did was turn to individuals that could give first person accounts. In his day truck drivers were people who crossed the country and you could engage them with questions about what is happening in other parts of the country.

Authors comments: I think blogs are taking on that role of providing first person accounts with different viewpoints.

Story here

Fred has not actually entered the race, It is more that he has indicated he is willing to be drafted. That has been enough to get support on the internet and created the need for a blog hub site

He has a solid uptrend within the intrade prediction markets system (into July their chart updates daily), to win the Republican Presidential Nominee. Bettered only by Rudy Giuliani

I know that you can wave the right, and apparently you may need to file a motion to have it victims right to a speedy trial under certain conditions. I also know that attorney’s sometimes delay a case to keep the client out of jail as long as possible. That suggests to me that he must of waved his right 3 years ago, and I don’t believe you can unwave it!

Makes Not providing all concerned their day in court all the more outrageous.

It does not improve the situation for day labors the way it is written. It keeps them with low wages. And, if they are maintained as a cheap labor pool it does not improve the economic problems concerning the cost. People working for only $7 an hour can not afford health care, documented or not. Although a former Enron CPA may be willing to move the cost of the cheap labor from immigration to another category and say look the cost from the current immigration has just gone down by a billion dollars. The federal government is no longer paying money to states that have undocumented’s in local jails.

It helps Killjoy (see next post) because it wipes the past criminal record away.
